Trough a new home security system SafeMart provides better safety to homeowners. This comes after Airbnb addressed its own liability because of #ransackgate and announced an insurance package up to USD 50,000 to cover customer's homes.
The home security system designed for Airbnb consists of SafeMart's LiveWatch interactive alarm monitoring and Plug & Protect delivery. It can be controlled remotely and activated in less than 30 minutes, says Joseph Thomas, SafeMart's Director of Technology.
The new home security system will allow people to use Airbnb's service without worrying about vandalism or theft. This is because the home security system includes remote monitoring of rooms with valuables in addition to environmental monitoring (protecting against freeze, fire, smoke, flood and carbon monoxide).
Using the home security system with remote control, Airbnb renters will be able to safeguard their homes from anywhere in the world. Police and fire departments will be accessible on call for just USD 29.90 per month, about 50% less than what other industry competitors' offer.

The Catholic Board approved of the security cameras; they will now be installed in the schools. Cost incurred will be $2-million; the Halton Catholic District School Board has approved the installation of new security cameras at its eight high schools.
Now providers of security cameras will have to bid. They will be shortlisted. For such a purpose, a committee is formed. But the budget for these security cameras may increase says Burlington trustee Arlene Iantomasi; so the costs need to be kept down. The installation should finish by the end of this year.
Facility Renewal Reserve fund will be funding the entire operation. Currently only three of the board's eight secondary schools viz. Notre Dame in Burlington and Oakville's Loyola and Holy Trinity have video surveillance systems, which utilize a limited number of security cameras. But they are said to be outdated.
